"Patience"
Date: June 24, 1996

Searching for your freedom
You build your house on sand
Following a cloud of smoke
Roaming through the land

Shake your fist at a distant God
Build a golden calf
You take another lap around the wilderness

Out of the darkness and into the light
It's not an earthly war we fight
So take your manna and smile

Before you gain the promise, there's a desert you must cross
If you want to find true freedom, something must be lost
So lift your hands and sing
Surrender everything

Spun on the potter's wheel in endless circles
Moulded by the artist's hand - Who's in complete control
Moulding, sculpting, adding some
Taking some away
The Artist sculpts perfection
From a heart of clay

Off of the wheel and into the fight
The Artist breaks to make us right
To fight. To shine. To serve.
